We at Highnote love to listen to music. But we’ve been asking ourselves… what happened to music video channels? Some of you whippersnappers may not remember when MTV played music videos. Eisenhower was President and there were two cars in every garage. Note that when I say music video channel, I’m not talking about lifestyle channels and reality shows. I not talking about Eighties rock band retrospectives chronicling the archetype we know all too well: humble roots => fame/fortune => coke habits => ego clashes => band breaks up => fledgling solo projects => smack habits => rock bottom => Betty Ford check-in => daily yoga routine => culminating in a reluctant but profitable reunion tour. We at Highnote have seen it all before, and quite frankly, we just want to watch some music videos.
This is why our crackerjack development team (i.e., Jim) has built music video streams into Highnote’s music discovery experience. You may have noticed it. It’s still in beta and we’re working out a few kinks, but we think it’s pretty cool. So next time you’re checking your email or working a spreadsheet, go ahead and play some music videos on the side. And whatever you think of it, we’d love it if you’d give us some feedback.
